The Pan American Canoe Confederation - COPAC and the International Canoe Federation - ICF - are pleased to invite your Federation to participate in 2010 CANOE SLALOM PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, to be held in Unión de Tula, State of Jalisco, Mexico, from October 15th to 17th, 2010.
We are very excited in a great participation of all American federations since this is the test event and qualification race for Canoe Slalom in the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games, which will be the Continental Olympic Qualification Competition for London 2012.
The participation of Canoe Slalom in the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games - for the first time in the Pan American Games - and in the 2010 Championships - its test event and qualification competition - will become a turning point in American Slalom history. The fight to be included in this major competition started back in 2000 and now that we have the inclusion of our Olympic discipline approved, we need your support, and your strong participation. Your federation participation is essential to consolidate slalom growth and to "pave" our road towards continuous participation in the Toronto 2015 and also all future Pan American Games.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Unión de Tula in October and helping to bring Canoeing to a higher stage among the sports.
Best greetings
